Of the Land is a curriculum exploring Taíno heritage and the deep connection between the Indigenous people of Puerto Rico and the land they inhabited. The editorial highlights the materials they used, the tools and objects they crafted, the significant sites and art that shaped their daily life and culture. Utilizing clear structure, intentional layouts, and an earthy visual language, the piece aims to preserve and honor the traditions, knowledge, and environment that defined Taíno existence. Also includes a reading list to further educate oneself on their lives.

Designed to be both educational and approachable, the project combines historical information with thoughtful typography, imagery, and composition. Each section invites readers to understand how the Taíno worked with natural resources, interacted with their surroundings, and left lasting marks on the island’s identity.
